I grew up on a farm with horses and have many years experience teaching horseback riding. I had my own horses, and broke/trained them. I was in 4-H and spent many summers competing in horse shows.
I was certified to teach horsemanship, and spent many summers running the horse programs at residential children’s summer camps (including for the girl scouts) and teaching kids. Every summer I had to evaluate, wrangle and tack a new string of up to 30 horses, and then match each camper to a horse based on their skill level. I guided trail rides, including overnight rides, in the Colorado Rockies near Colorado Springs and in the Appalachian Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina.
I have experience with Western (primarily), with a little English, and even driving a buggy and other harness work.
